We couldn’t be happier!

Point Beach Prep is truly a school that lives up to its reputation & beyond! We are fortunate to have our son attend the classroom with Gabbie & Miss Amanda, and we couldn't be happier! Both of his teachers are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to make their students feel safe, welcome, and supported. They are so patient & very communicative. My son loves going to school and is excited to tell me about his day. We are astonished at how much he has learned and grown already! PBP and all of its staff create a welcome environment for all of its students and families. My son looks forward to greeting Mrs. House at the door each day at drop-off, which is another testament to how wonderful school truly is. We love PBP and the foundation it's creating for our son for kindergarten and beyond.

Our Typical Pre-K Day

Our students arrive and begin with free play. The classroom is set up with interesting centers and daily challenges. After everyone has arrived the class gathers for circle time to learn about the letter of the week, calendar skills (concepts of time), weather, flag salute, social skills (learning names, etc.) and each have jobs for the day to participate. The students return to free play while a few at a time are encouraged to participate in the daily craft/project based on the weekly letter or theme. They also will have a handwriting opportunity at some point as well.

The rest of the class will spend time exploring opportunities in dramatic play, blocks and building, trucks and transportation, our home center, library, sensory table, imagination station (art center) and so much more. The centers are rotated frequently to encourage broad based learning and incorporate math, science, literacy and more. Students will then gather for music and movement (scarves, instruments, dancing, singing and more), then wash up for snack. After snack there will be a story and then outdoor playtime. We will take the students out in almost any weather, please dress accordingly! Dismissal is from the playground.
