Dear Point Beach Prep Families,
This week we met Ms. W and her friend Winnie-the-Pooh. We learned the sight word “we.” Our American Sign Language is the letter W and “way to go.” At our project table we made whales, worms and butterflies with wings that we hung in our classroom. We read Diary of a Worm, Who Am I? and Where the Wild Things Are.
Amelia was our Student of the Week and it was her Birthday! Amelia’s grandfather read the book “Those Darn Squirrels” to the class. Her Mom taught us how to make trail mix. We had a yummy snack that day! Thank you, Fletcher family!
We had fun at music dancing to “Rock with Me” and took a walk around the classroom singing to “Let’s Go for a Walk Today.” The dramatic play area is now a stage with costumes and microphones. It was fun dressing up and performing for our peers. Thank you Mr. Jones for making it especially for PBP!
Ms. Tina from Point Pleasant Beach library came in on Wednesday and we sang songs and danced with her scarves. We adore her and can’t wait to see what she brings in her “Magic Envelope”. She was so impressed our students remembered the words she taught us on a previous visit for hello in other languages: Hola! (Spanish) and Ni’hao (Chinese).
This week for show and tell we saw a white truck with windows and wheels, wolverines, wands, wallets, walkie talkies, and a whale. The Wubble Bubble ball was fun! The children are getting so good at presenting and improving their communication skills during this time of day.
