Weekly Letter 10-30-2014

Hello Point Beach Prep Families,
This week we met Ms. G, with her green hair and her giraffe. We learned the sight word “go.” We also learned American Sign Language for “G” and “girl.” At our project table we made spooky ghosts to hang from our ceiling, glitter ghosts, a handprint giraffe, and decorated our Halloween goody bags. We read Goodnight Gorilla, Giraffes Can’t Dance, Franklin’s Halloween, and We’re Going on a Ghost Hunt. We hopped like grasshoppers, pretended to be ghosts, gorillas, and goats, and sang lots of fun Halloween songs. Ask your children to sing “Boiling Hot.” You can have fun deciding what to put in the witch’s pot!

We welcomed a new friend to our Pre-K class this week. Ethan came all the way from Arkansas! We are so happy to have him here!
We are thankful to Dr. Merkler’s Dental Office, who came in on Tuesday to do a presentation on good oral hygiene. We are working in conjunction with their office to collect candy for the U.S. troops. If you would like to donate to Operation Gratitude, please bring the candy in before next Wednesday. Thank you!
We are looking forward to our Halloween Parades on Thursday and Friday. We are so thankful for the predicted nice weather!
Monday and Tuesday are our picture days. Please bring in your child’s permission slip if you would like to have his/her picture taken.
Have a great weekend!
