Weekly Letter 10-23-2014

Posted in Weekly Letters on Oct 23, 2014

Dear Point Beach Prep Families,
This week we met Mr. F and his frog. We learned sign language for “f” and “fabulous.” Our sight word was “for.” We read many books on tape including Franklin Wants a Pet, Franklin and the Bad Day, Pick a Pumpkin Mrs. Millie, and Franklin Goes to the Hospital.

At our project table we made fire trucks, letter F feather collages, jack o ’lanterns, Halloween bats, and glittery spider webs. At snack time, we ate (gold)fish and fruit. During Music and Movement we counted our fingers and sang “Where is Thumbkin?” and other finger songs. We also sang Friends Forever and Five Little Speckled Frogs. We pretended to float like a feather and falling leaf, flew like fairies, and hopped like frogs. Ms. Kerry even brought in a real fishing pole and the children took turns reeling in a fish! What a fun week!

We celebrated Will’s birthday and read The Secret Birthday Message by Eric Carle. Happy Birthday Will!

Have a fantastic weekend! See you next week for our Halloween Parades and letter G!
