Weekly Letter 1-21-2015

Dear Point Beach Prep Families,
This week we met Miss O and her octopus. Our sight word was “on.” We learned American Sign Language for the letter O and “octopus.” We read one of our big books, Commotion in the Ocean, along with Hello Ocean, Opposites, and Otis. We had fun making the letter O with shaving cream! We also made orange prints with real oranges, made octopus handprints and octopus crafts, and did math with O’s (cheerios.) We sang Old MacDonald, On Top of Spaghetti, and The Opposite Song. Ask your child to give you some examples of opposites.
Jayce was our Student of the Week! His Mom came in to read a special story for us. We enjoyed reading Jayce’s “All About Me” poster. He also brought in yummy rice crispy treats for the class. Thank you to Jayce and his mommy!

Next week we will be having a PAJAMA PARTY for letter P! Please have your child wear their pajamas to school on Monday and Tuesday!!
