Hello Point Beach Prep Families,
This week we met numbers 1 and 2. We determined we each have 1 head, 1 body, and 1 nose. We have 2 eyes, 2 ears, and 2 legs. We rolled dice to see if we could roll a 1 or a 2. We practiced writing our 1 and 2. We read One Monkey Too Many, One More Bunny, Two Crazy Pigs, and Noah’s Noisy Ark.
Lyla was one of our Students of the Week. Her Daddy came in on Wednesday and showed everyone how to make a bagel. We made the dough with flour and water and rolled out the bagels. They brought in delicious bagels for everyone to enjoy. Thank you, they were yummy!
Raegan is also our Student of the Week. Her Mommy is coming in on Thursday to do something special with the class. We cannot wait!
On Tuesday we had a special presentation from the Eye Openers Support Group for people who are visually impaired or blind. One presenter taught us about braille and read us a children’s book by using braille. Another member played the Sesame Street theme song and BINGO for us on the organ. Another member (Mrs. House’s father) showed us his cane and how to use it. Everyone that day went home with a braille card with a message and their name in braille. It was really neat.
The Point Pleasant Beach Children’s Librarian is coming this week to read stories and sing songs with us. We always have fun with Ms. Tina!
See you next week with numbers 3 and 4. Have a nice weekend!
